The hostel is a secure and reliable place to stay for working women. Located in Kurla, the hostel is well-connected to all parts of Greater Mumbai. The premises are surrounded by a small garden making the atmosphere pleasant for its residents.
It has a capacity of housing 100 residents on a sharing basis. Perhaps, it is the only hostel in the eastern suburbs that has an attached bathroom with hot water and a toilet. Each resident is provided a separate table, chair, cot, and cupboard. An ironing table and water cooler (with a purifier) are provided on each floor. A self-service washing machine is available at all times. The premises are supervised by a professional security service 24 x 7 with CCTV security surveillance.
The hostel is well equipped with a modern kitchen. Its library and reading room are well stocked with books and periodicals. The hostel has a recreation room for playing games like carrom, chess, and badminton. By holding festivals that are celebrated enthusiastically across India, the hostel gives a sense of being “a home away from home”.
The eastern suburbs have witnessed a surge of commercial activity and the hostel receives an excessive number of requests. Hence, we extended the hostel capacity to a new building situated on the same premises The new building has a capacity of 75 residents and is operational since February 2022.
